Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally ★★½☆☆(MY25)
Available to order since April 2025
Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally: Overview
Ford’s Mustang Mach-E Rally is the brand’s first rally-inspired EV—built not just for show, but to rip through tarmac and dirt alike. With aggressive styling, a dual-motor setup, and real off-road hardware, it stands out as a wild new niche in the electric crossover world. In Europe, pricing starts around €81,000.
What’s New for 2025
The Rally trim debuts with a unique rear motor and the first-ever RallySport drive mode, tuned for slides and loose-surface control. A 20 mm suspension lift, MagneRide shocks, and special springs give it serious off-road credibility.
Design & Exterior
Bold and unmistakable, the Rally features a rear spoiler, body cladding, rally fog lamps, white 19-inch alloys, and racing stripes. Protective underbody shielding and a raised stance complete the rugged look.
Interior & Tech
Exclusive Ford Performance seats, gloss-white accents, and a 15.5-inch touchscreen headline the cabin. Practicality remains with 402 L of boot space (1420 L seats down) and a 100 L frunk.
Performance
With 358 kW and 950 Nm from dual motors, 0–100 km/h takes just 3.6 s. Rally-tuned suspension and drive modes ensure agility on both mountain passes and gravel tracks.
Range & Charging
A 91 kWh usable battery delivers about 419 km real-world range at 4.6 km/kWh efficiency. DC fast charging (150 kW) takes 10–80% in ~36 min; an 11 kW onboard charger handles overnight top-ups.
Safety
Backed by a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, the Rally includes Ford’s Co-Pilot360 suite: adaptive cruise, lane centring, blind-spot monitoring, and AEB.
Warranty
Coverage includes a 2-year basic warranty and 8-year/160,000 km battery protection. With fewer moving parts, upkeep is simpler and cheaper than ICE rivals.

Why You'll Love It 😘
1. Exceptional AWD Acceleration
Dual-motor or quad-motor EVs with all-wheel drive can deliver very fast 0-60 (or 0-100) times, thanks to instant torque and superior traction. For rally style, AWD helps in both grip and handling, especially in less-than-ideal surfaces.
2.Unique On/Off-Road Performance
Vehicles designed with rally or crossover/off-road capability can combine features like raised ride height, reinforced underbodies, differential tuning, all-terrain tires, etc. Even if not full off-road rigs, they can handle light trails, snow, gravel, etc.
3.Distinctive Rally-Inspired Styling
Visual cues like flared arches, special wheels, decals, big wheel/tire combos, spoilers, rally lights, contrasting color accents etc., can give emotional appeal and uniqueness.
4.Engaging, Confidence-Inspiring Handling
AWD + good torque vectoring, responsive steering, solid chassis, suspension tuned for more aggressive driving / mixed surfaces can deliver a fun, confidence-inspiring driving experience.
Why You Might Think Twice 🤔
1.Very High Price Tag
All that performance + off-road / rally styling tends to come with high cost: more complex drivetrain, specialized components, premium parts, etc.
2.Mediocre DC Charging Speed
Sometimes these vehicles trade off charging speed (especially fast DC) because of battery pack constraints, wheel/tire sizes affecting aerodynamics, or simply not optimised for fast charging. If you’re planning long trips, this matters.
3.Limited Real-World Range
Rally styling (e.g. less aerodynamic), larger tires, off-road capability, AWD all reduce efficiency, so although the rated range may look okay, actual usable range in mixed driving can fall short.
4.Very Low Towing Capacity
Many electric performance vehicles (especially compact or crossover-style) are not designed or rated for heavy towing. The battery weight, cooling limits, etc., often limit towing ability severely compared to gas/diesel equivalents or purpose-built EVs.
1-Stop Range Definition 🔋
For vehicles without fast-charging capability, only the distance of the first stop is considered.
🚗 Driving Profile
- Begin with a fully charged battery
- Stop 1: Drive until the battery reaches 10% state-of-charge (SoC)
- Perform a 15-minute fast charge
- Stop 2: Continue driving until the battery again reaches 10% SoC
📋 Assumptions
- Driving speed, climate, and environmental conditions are based on Real Range Highway data
- No additional time required to initiate or stop the charging session
- The charging station always delivers the maximum power requested by the vehicle
- The battery is assumed to be in optimal health and condition
⚠️ Important Note : In real-world driving, it is practically impossible to replicate these conditions exactly.
This benchmark should therefore be viewed as a comparative metric, designed to evaluate vehicles under standardized conditions rather than predict exact trip distances.
5-Star Rating Definition ★
Assignment of Stars in 2025
- ☆ 0 less than 200 km
